Building a new home is an exciting time for the homeowner, the fulfillment of a dream and the start of a new place to call home. We try to take some of the bewilderment out of the process by contacting our homeowners constantly, to keep everyone informed throughout the building experience. We also provide a Design Center which helps you choose the exact interior and exterior details that will help make your family home one of a kind. We will be with you every step of the way until that happy moment when you step into your new home for the very first time.
Mattamy Building Process
Building a new home is an exciting time for the homeowner, the fulfillment of a dream and the start of a new place to call home. Mattamy Homes has a step by step process which takes the customer through the construction process from pre-construction to final inspection. We will be with you every step of the way until that happy moment when you step into your new home for the very first time.

- Sign Purchase and Sales Agreement- Your Mattamy New Home Counselor will enter the required information and give you a copy of the contract.
- Apply for a Mortgage - Applications should be completed within 5 days of your contract.
- Design Center Meeting- Immediately after you purchase a home, you will set up an appointment to meet at the Design Center to choose your non-structural options, colors and upgrades on everything from paint, flooring and cabinets to countertops. See additional section on Design Center Process.
- Pre-Construction Meeting- You will sit down with your Mattamy New Home Counselor and Onsite Builder for a final review of your dream home. Together, you'll verify placement of the house, review blueprints and selections, and find out what to expect during the building process. Permits are then pulled with the city and construction begins.
- New Home Orientation- Your Mattamy Onsite Builder will take you through your completed home right before closing to insure you are completely satisfied and to answer any last-minute questions you may have about your home.
- Warranty Service- Approximately 14 days after closing, a Mattamy Warranty Service Technician will contact you to introduce themselves, see if you have any further questions, and ensure your satisfaction. Click here to request Warranty Service.
- AVID ™ Customer Service Satisfaction Survey - You are informed that you will receive this survey approximately one month after closing. We kindly request your feedback to ensure Mattamy Homes continues to provide customer satisfaction in every area of our company.
Design Center Process
What's in store at the Design Center?
Our homeowners will be invited to meet with a Design Center Consultant to review the included features of their home and to be introduced to a variety of optional features available for purchase.
These experts will guide owners through the many choices available to help truly individualize each new home.

At your appointment owners will be able to tailor their new home with the all of options available plus all interior colors and finishes to personalize your new home.
Appointments usually run 2 to 3 hours in length and are conducted Monday through Friday by pre-arranged appointment times.
We welcome our homeowners to bring any fabric swatches or other information necessary to help you with your decisions.
