Setting the Standard
Solar panels are now standard on all new Single Family Homes in Alberta!
At Mattamy, we’re committed to building the homes and neighbourhoods of tomorrow with sustainable solutions designed for how you live today. As you look forward to settling into a home that will grow with your family, we’re excited to offer options to protect your future and the world around you.
As part of Mattamy’s mission to make sustainable living easier and more accessible for all, solar panels will be the new standard on all newly built Single Family Homes in our Alberta neighbourhoods!
Learn more about solar panels and their benefits below.
The Benefits
Beyond generating your own energy and offsetting utility costs, the benefits of solar power are endless. Solar panels are an investment in your future that is good for both the environment and your wallet.
Future-Built for Life
When you picture your perfect home, you may see open concept spaces, spa-like bathrooms and large, bright windows. But have you considered solar power? Converting sunlight into usable electrical energy, a solar-powered home makes your lifestyle more sustainable, your bills more predictable, your home more valuable and your planet a little bit greener. Our world and your needs are ever-changing. We’re excited to offer a power source that can keep up.
How It Works
Reducing your greenhouse gas emissions and regulating the cost of your energy has never been easier with solar panels. Here’s how they work:
Introducing EMA App Integration
Peace of mind is built into your new home with Energy Monitoring & Analysis (EMA) app integration included at no extra cost. With remote monitoring and access to system data from your mobile device or personal computer, you will always be in the know about your home’s solar module health. You can use the app to check for outages, track performance of modules and compare production over time.
This advanced technology is not only convenient but also contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle.

Source data are projections only and the parties are not liable if actual amounts differ. This data is based on what management of Zeno Renewables and Mattamy Homes believe are reasonable assumptions. There can be no assurance that such projections will prove accurate and actual results could differ materially from such projections. Financial estimates are based on certain assumptions, for example: maximum production of a Longi LR5-54hpb solar panels (405W), maximum production of eight (8) Longi LR5-54hpb solar panels (3,240W), estimated annual production, modeled using the PVWatts program and associated assumptions, of 3819kWh in Calgary and 3629 kWh in Edmonton (5% reduction see below) and using Alberta’s 13 month (April 2023 – May 2024) average utility cost of 0.1996 $/kWh (Regulated).Purchasers understand that these are estimates and projections only, and any financial savings will be determined by actual production and utility rates.
