After Hours Emergency Support
Your Warranty Service Office is pleased to assist you with all your concerns during regular business hours, but we are also available to you throughout the evening in case you experience the following:
- Complete loss of heat
- Complete loss of electricity
- Water penetration into the home
- Major Plumbing Leak
- ** Gas Leak - Call Enbridge directly at 1-866-763-5427 as well as calling 9-1-1
Your call or email will go to a Mattamy representative who will contact you within one hour. We will attempt to have the original contractor correct the problem. Or, if the original contractor is unavailable, we will offer alternative solutions and guide you through the necessary steps to contend with the emergency until we can address it during the next business day.
Any item not noted above would not be considered an emergency.

1st Year Warranty Coverage
Mattamy warrants your home against defects in workmanship and material for a period of ONE YEAR starting on your Closing Day. You will have 2 formal opportunities to request Warranty Service in your first year of occupancy:
- At your 30-Day anniversary
- At your Year-End anniversary
At these anniversary points, simply complete the applicable Warranty Service form from Tarion's myHome portal; https://myhome.tarion.com/hop/; completing the form online will provide both Mattamy and Tarion with a copy of your list.
Please be aware, all service appointments are scheduled during regular business hours. If you are unable to be home during the appointment, you may leave us a key to provide access.
Tarion provides the builder a 120 day period to resolve item listed on your form. If you are not satisfied with the condition of a repair following service, please contact your Warranty Service Office and we will gladly review the repair of the item.
2nd Year Warranty Coverage
Mattamy warrants the following items against defects in workmanship and material for a period of TWO YEARS starting on your Possession Day:
- Plumbing system
- Heating system
- Electrical distribution systems
- Exterior Water penetration (leaks)
- Exterior cladding
- Major structural defects
If you experience a problem with any of the above-noted items during your first two years of occupancy, please report it to your Warranty Service Office immediately, as these are generally considered to be urgent repairs.
7-Year Warranty Coverage
Your home is protected under warranty against Major Structural Defects (MSDs) for a period of SEVEN YEARS from your Closing Day. A Major Structural Defect is defined by the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act as:
“Any defect in materials or work that results in the failure of a load-bearing part of the home structure, or any defect in materials or work that significantly and adversely affects the use of the building as a home.”
To make a claim for a Major Structural Defect after the first 2 years, complete an MSD Warranty form from Tarion’s MyHome portal https://myhome.tarion.com/hop/

- Submit your completed form to your Warranty Service Office and Tarion*
- Mattamy will schedule your service appointments
