Step 4: Choose a Home That Works for You
Ask yourself:
-
Does the floorplan work for my routine?
-
Will I have enough storage and flexible space?
-
Does the kitchen support how I cook and gather?
-
Can the home adapt as my needs change?
-
Which features are most important to my comfort?
-
Which choices would be difficult or costly to change later?
-
Does the home fit within my comfortable budget?
Depending on the home and stage of construction, you may have options related to the floorplan, lot, exterior style, architectural features or finishes at the Design Studio.
Some homes may already include pre-selected features and finishes. Your Mattamy New Home Advisor can explain which options are available and how certain choices may affect the home and purchase price.
The goal is not to select every possible upgrade. Focus on the choices that will have the greatest effect on how you use and enjoy your home.
Helpful Tip: If You Feel Stuck Between Two Options
Return to three things:
-
Your comfortable budget
-
Your reason for moving
-
Your must-have list
Then ask which option best supports those priorities.
You may not find a home that includes every feature on your list. A confident decision is not about finding a perfect home. It is about understanding the trade-offs and choosing the option that works best for your life.
