Southeast Florida Division Debuts the World’s Tallest Heart Sculpture

Mattamy’s Southeast Florida Division celebrated the presentation of its highly anticipated Heart in the Park sculpture at Mattamy’s master-planned community Tradition, at a private event held on June 12, 2026.

The celebration began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a mass wedding at which more than a dozen couples married at the Heart. The event was reserved for invited guests, including selected city officials and community partners.

“We’re thrilled to extend a heartfelt invitation to the residents of Tradition as we unveil Heart in the Park,” said Dan Grosswald, President of Mattamy’s Southeast Florida Division. “From the moment it began to rise, the sculpture has captured imaginations, sparked conversation and quickly became a symbol of connection and community pride.”

Standing 73 feet high, this remarkable structure – now the tallest heart sculpture in the world – serves as a new centrepiece for Tradition.

Located at the intersection of Village Parkway and Discover Way, Heart in the Park is set to become a beloved gathering place, embodying the welcoming spirit and vibrant lifestyle that defines the Tradition community.

“Heart in the Park is becoming a cherished landmark in Port St. Lucie, Florida. This artwork will bring our community closer, reflecting a message of love and inclusivity,” said Port St. Lucie Mayor Shannon Martin.

Designed by internationally acclaimed artist JEFRË, Heart in the Park features a graceful, gentle twist rising above a 30-foot-wide circular pedestal that is illuminated nightly. Like Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE sculpture, Heart in the Park is poised to become a lasting symbol of shared emotion and civic pride – a landmark where people will gather, reflect and capture memories for generations to come.

The Southeast Florida Division hosted a grand opening event for the public to celebrate the sculpture’s official debut on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Guests were welcome to enjoy the sculpture and the plaza, and to shop at the newly opened The Shoppes at the Heart – a 71,000-square-foot commercial centre adjacent to the sculpture.

At the event, guests could meet the artist and make a heart-healthy pledge benefiting the American Heart Association, with Mattamy matching all contributions up to $25.
